Would the computer you have now be feasible to run FFXI?

I have two laptops, but they are both for work, so I cannot install FFXI on them. I need to upgrade my desktop so I've been thinking about buying a new laptop.
So, I start browsing Best Buy, etc. while rebooting my xbox & now the stupid thing works. LOL.
